After Sydney show, Nepathya to travel to New Zealand

After the conclusion of their three-legged Australia tour, the folk-rock band Nepathya are slated to travel to the neighbouring country of New Zealand for a concert which will take place in Auckland on July 28.  “This is to be a historic event for the Nepali diaspora living here, as this is the first proper Nepali concert in a professional concert venue in the country,” said Raj Maharjan of Aroha Event, the New Zealand-based local organiser. “I am sure that the Nepali community here will come together to celebrate this opportunity.”

The ongoing series of concerts are part of the band’s silver jubilee celebrations. “I am indebted to all the listeners who accepted us and all the musicians who contributed in making Nepathya what it is today,” said frontman Amrit Gurung. “I am glad to be celebrating this with our well wishers in Australia and New Zealand.” After the successful performances in Melbourne and Adelaide, the band will now perform at the Big Top Auditorium in Sydney on July 22, before moving on to Auckland, New Zealand for their debut show in the country.

Nepathya’s ongoing tour will come to a close with the Auckland show which will take place at the Sky City Theater on July 28.
